I learned this week that you really need to be on top of your "game" so to speak pretty much all of the time during college. There are no lulls in activity that you need to be aware of.
As an example of this, I was to turn in a current event for my BUS 100 class and could not turn it in for several factors. I ended up not being able to turn it in by about 2 or 3 minutes. I still feel that I have been wronged by my teacher, but I also realized that it was and still is my responsibility to be keyed in to what I need to do and what I need to turn in, both on time.
Although this continues to be an ever present problem for me, I think that I'm getting better at combating it through the uses of Kaizen, and sheer will. The fact that I was only late by 3 minutes is a great motivator to get things done super early now as a matter of fact. I've taken that away from the previous experience as well. Get things done fast or early, and you won't have to do them later, leaving you more time to get more things done, or to do what you actually want to do.
